Fretmark is a free, independent calculator for theoretical equal-temperament fret positions.

One calculator, one purpose

Enter a scale length and a fret count to see a from-nut table, adjacent gaps and ideal remaining lengths. The method is visible in the worked guide. This site does not represent an instrument manufacturer, repair workshop or standards organisation, and it does not provide an instrument setup service.

What is included

The calculator, proportional preview, local text/CSV exports and SVG strip can be used without an account. Real-string compensation and bridge placement are outside its scope. The table describes the ideal model and does not establish an actual instrument’s intonation or fabrication accuracy.

How it operates

This source release has no advertising delivery or third-party analytics loader enabled. Publisher identification prepares for possible later review and does not itself display ads or establish revenue. The privacy notice describes hosting requests and local exports.

Corrections

If a worked example or result seems wrong, use the shared contact address and include the exact inputs and units. There is no need to provide personal details or private files to use the tool.
